In honor of Community Manager Appreciation Day (January 25th) we have started a new blog post series – the Community Manager Spotlight. On the 25th of every month we will be highlighting one of our very own FUEL CYCLE Client Success team members. Their expert insights can be used to learn a little more about what it takes to run a successful online community.

This week we are highlighting Jamie Bock, Community Associate at FUEL CYCLE. Check out her interview below:

What is your name & job title?

Jamie Bock; Associate Community

What is your favorite thing about your job?

I love asking probing questions in communities that help our clients better understand and relate to their customers. I feel like I’m learning and growing every day.

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Inquisitive, Innovative, Creative

What’s your favorite brand and why?

Toyota. I’ve grown up with this brand and find it very reliable. It also gets me to and from work every day!

What does community mean to you?

For me, community is a place where people can share their thoughts and learn from others. It should be a space in which people feel comfortable expressing themselves and enjoy being a part of.

What is your #1 tip for other CS teams?

Don’t forget to look at the big picture. Ask questions that start with “What if…?” Challenge yourself and your team to think creatively. Put yourself in your community members’ shoes. Put yourself in your clients’ shoes.
