On the evening of Friday, October 11th, L.A.’s rising tech stars convened at Cross Campus for the 2019 Timmy Awards in celebration of each other. The Timmy Awards were created in 2014 by Tech in Motion, a North American event series that has connected local tech communities across the U.S. and Canada for almost a decade. The awards are reserved for companies who’ve established the best and most inclusive workplaces in their region, and the crowd that night was buzzing with anticipation over who would receive such coveted recognition.

The event began with dinner and drinks, granting tech teams from across the city an opportunity to mingle and swap stories of life and work in the industry. Then came time for the awards ceremony. As announced one by one, the winning companies leaped to their feet in heaps of high-fives and hugs and scrambled onstage to retrieve their sleek glass trophies. Deep into the hour-long ceremony, Fuel Cycle was announced the Community Favorite for Best Tech Startup!

The Best Tech Startup award recognizes a local startup with an entrepreneurial spirit that employs forward-thinking leaders, possesses a great work environment, and produces an innovative product that aims to disrupt the market. Fuel Cycle’s win validated the company’s efforts to create and maintain a work-hard / play-hard environment that ultimately motivates everyone to deliver their best.

“We strive to provide an atmosphere for our employees that makes them look forward to coming to work every day,” says Eran Gilad, Fuel Cycle’s CEO. “This award bolsters our belief that Fuel Cycle has a lot to offer our team members as we continue to grow.”

Fuel Cycle is a mobile-first market research and community intelligence platform for supercharging the relationship between brands and customers. In order to deliver those relationships between brands and customers, the team recognizes the importance of supercharging the vibe on the inside as well.

Sr. Brand Manager, Victoria Shakespeare started her career at Fuel Cycle as a marketing and design intern in 2016. Not only does Shakespeare recognize the unique opportunity she’s had to skyrocket her own career, but she’s also observed an astounding pace of progress company-wide.

“We’ve come a long way since I started at Fuel Cycle,” celebrates Shakespeare. “We’ve restructured, rebranded, tripled our team, and added 30+ technical & strategic partners. This evolution showcases our passion and ability to scale while remaining true to the brand. I can’t wait to see what is in store for us next!”

As Fuel Cycle continues to enhance its product and offerings to further streamline the market research process for businesses, it vows to uphold the values of a company worthy of the recognition it was awarded this year. We grow our brand by growing our people.
